Calling all kids – Join Up ’til Dawn in the FHSU Homecoming Parade!

Saturday is the FHSU Homecoming Parade. Up ’til Dawn, an FHSU organization that raises funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, will have an entry! We are trying to round up as many kids as possible to join us in the parade to help support the fight against childhood cancer! The more kids – the bigger the impact on the community!

The theme for the parade is “Tigers are for reel” and Up ’til Dawn’s theme for the year is “When I grow up…. I want to save a life!”

*We are asking each kid who wants to join us in the parade to dress up like what they want to be when they grow up! (Ex… Football player, teacher, movie star, police officer! ) All parents are asked to wear bright colored solid t – shirts, or shirts that support fighting cancer!

All kids must be accompanied with an adult, unless other arrangements are set up for that child to be watched by an UTD Executive Board Member throughout the parade!

Also, each child is more than welcome to ride their bike, scooter, or ride in a wagon throughout the parade ( We recommend this since the parade is very long! )

This is a fun opportunity for your child to help bring awareness to childhood cancer & the amazing research and treatment performed at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We believe no child should die in the dawn of life! Every child should get the chance to grow up and live a healthy life!

Join Up ’til Dawn THIS SATURDAY between 12:00 – 12:15 on the corner of 19th & Main. You will find all of our Executive Board Members in Grey T-shirts with Gold writing!

Spread the word to friends, families, and co workers who have children who might be interested in joining us! All ages of kids are welcome!

Qustions? Contact: Up ’til Dawn Executive Director – MEGAN COLSON @[email protected]!

We appreciate your support 🙂

Up ’til Dawn at Fort Hays State University has a goal of raising $40,000 for the kids of St. Jude this year!

St. Jude has developed protocols that have helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to 80 percent today.

St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay.
