Three of every five flights from Hays Regional Airport was delayed or canceled in December, according to the monthly report to the city.

Of the 336 scheduled Great Lakes Airlines flights in December, 100 were canceled, while 20 were at least 75 minutes late.

Flights that were less than 15 minutes late or on time totaled 133 in December.

The city has expressed concern recently about the service at the airport. A new carrier contract will begin in May and the U.S. Department of Transportation could finalize an agreement with a new carrier as early as next month.
