RUSSELL — The Russell County Sheriff’s Department arrested two county residents after executing search warrants for narcotics Thursday.
The sheriff’s department reported that, at 7:56 a.m. Thursday, the home at 106 Eighth St., Gorham, was searched. During the search, officers reported, numerous items were collected as evidence.
The resident, Jennifer Hejny Ayala, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment.
Another warrant was executed at 3:11 p.m. Thursday at 347 West Second, Russell, where evidence also was collected, the department reported.
The resident, Sarah Hearld, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription.
Both suspects were booked into the Russell County jail.
