BUNKER HILL — Smoky Hills Public Television adds a new element to its annual Valentines & Wines fundraiser. This year, Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations will cap off the event Feb. 15 at the Hays American Legion.

As in the past, Valentines and Wines will include a meal, an opportunity to taste a variety of wines, craft beers and liquor and a silent and live auction. Beginning at 8:30 p.m., there will be a dance with Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations.

“Adding a dance really rounds out the evening of entertainment, and we are very excited that local favorites Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations agreed to perform,” event coordinator Tricia Flax said.

Valentines & Wines is a fundraiser for Smoky Hills Public Television. All of the proceeds help SHPTV maintain its commitment to quality programming and educational services.

A variety of items have been donated for the silent and live auctions. Those include a basketball signed by the University of Kansas men’s basketball team, a football autographed by Kansas State coach Bill Snyder, other autographed sports and music memorabilia, gift certificates, packages for Kansas excursions and much more.

Tickets purchased before Jan. 31 cost $35 per person or $260 to reserve a table for eight. Anyone wishing to just attend the dance can do so for $15. Tickets are available by calling SHPTV at (800) 337-4788 or visiting www.smokyhillstv.org.
