RUSSELL — Deputies looking for stolen property turned up drugs Monday in Russell County.

According to a press release from the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, officers executed a search warrant for stolen property at 17962 Stickney Road. During the search drugs were found in the residence and vehicle.

Two more search warrants were issued, and the sheriff’s department said deputies found methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications along with IV fluids and drug paraphernalia. The residents were not at home at the time of the search, the release said, and Undersheriff Max Barrett confirmed police do have suspects in the case. The county attorney’s office has not yet filed charges.
