HOXIE — The Kansas Department of Transportation will have an open house to discuss this spring’s pavement replacement and closure of Kansas 23 from Hoxie north to the U.S. 83/Kansas 383 junction.

The session will begin at 11 a.m. Feb. 4 at the Hoxie EMS building, 1717 Oak, and is scheduled to last two hours.

No formal presentation will be made at the come-and-go public session. Engineers from KDOT as well as employees with Venture Corp., the prime contractor in charge of the project, will outline the temporary phasing of construction, discuss detours, and answer questions regarding access to county roads.
