Fort Hays State University’s Sternberg Museum of Natural History will launch a fundraiser Feb. 3 to raise money for new summer camps to be offered this summer.
The funds raised will help purchase tools and supplies to get the camps up and running. Organizers also will offer a subsequent fundraiser with hopes of creating a scholarship program to help low-income students participate.
The summer camps will be offered to students of all ages from elementary to high school. The museum also is working on creating camps for the entire family.
The fundraiser will launch on a website called RocketHub. The website allows donators to easily give electronically to the cause. To find the museum’s page on RocketHub, go to rockethub.com and search “Sternberg Museum” on or after Feb. 3.
