FBI holds rare news conference on bank robbery

DENVER (AP) — The Denver FBI is conducting a rare news conference regarding a Westminster Wells Fargo Bank robbery last week.

Denver FBI Special Agent in Charge Thomas Ravenelle and Westminster Police Department Chief Lee Birk will be at the news conference Friday morning at FBI headquarters.

Authorities say two men armed with guns and covered from head-to-toe entered the Wells Fargo on Jan. 21 in what the FBI described as a violent bank robbery. New details are expected to be released at the news conference.

Wells Fargo has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects.
