Fort Hays State men’s track and field will be represented by a pair of pole vaulters at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Salem, N.C., held March 14-15. Brady Tien and Brett Ottley will compete at the event.

Tien, who attended Logan High School, enters the event with the 11th-best effort in Division II so far this indoor season. His mark of 16’2″, which he posted last week at the MIAA Championships solidified his spot in the field of 17 competitors.

Ottley, a Victoria native, tied for the 16th-best effort so far this spring with a height of 15’10”, also set his qualifying mark at the MIAA Championships.

The men’s pole vault is scheduled for 1:00 pm ET/12:00 pm CT on Friday (Mar. 14).
