Walk Kansas is a team-based eight-week program designed to help participants lead a healthier life by being more active and making better nutrition choices.

There are several ways for employers to help employees participate in Walk Kansas. For example, employers can sponsor teams of six employees at $18 per team ($3 per person). Or, businesses can encourage employee teams to enroll in Walk Kansas on their own. In-house competition or added activities can enhance the program and add to the fun.

Team registration packets and details are available at the Ellis County Extension, 601 Main, or by calling (785) 628-9430. Registration materials also can be found online at www.ellis.ksu.edu under Health & Nutrition. The deadline to register teams is March 10.
