The Rooks County Sheriff’s department and the Kansas Highway Patrol are investigating an accident where a vehicle struck and killed an elderly man in Palco earlier this week.

According to a press release from the Rooks County Sheriff, at 9:25 p.m. Monday deputies received the report of an elderly man that had been struck by a vehicle.

The man was transferred to the Rooks County Hospital and according to the release, he was later pronounced dead.

No additional information is being released at this time.
