Six teens injured in overnight rollover crash

KHPMOSCOW — Six teens were injured in an overnight crash in Morton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 driven by Matthew Pearson, 18, Moscow, was westbound on RD Z from RD 24 just east of Kansas 27 in Morton County at 12:46 a.m.

The vehicle veered off the left side of the road and traveled into a field where the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled at least three times coming to rest on its wheels.

Pearson and passengers in the vehicle Jorge Araiza, 18, Paloma Moran, 17, and Alejandra Moran, 16, all of Moscow, were transported to Stevens County Hospital.
Vianney Sierra, 15, Johnson, was transported to Morton County Hospital.

Mia Miranda, 15, Johnson, was transported to Morton County Hospital and then to Wesley Medical Center by Life Team.

The KHP reports Miranda, Paloma and Alejandra Moran were not wearing seat belts.
