Precision Valley Golf Center, 1500 W. 27th,  will soon house a full service bicycle and repair shop.

According to Landon Paul, the golf center initially will stock between 30 and 40 Giant bicycle models, as well as the accompanying accessories. But, if sales are strong, Precision plans to expand to other brands in the future.

“Right now, we just want to get the bike shop up and rolling and get attention to it,” said Paul, Precision Valley general manager. “We want to make sure we’re mechanically sound to take care of the bicycles as well.”

Paul said the idea of adding a bike shop was sparked by city plans to add more than 20 miles of bike lanes within Hays:

The bike shop is currently under construction at Precision Valley. The full-service shop is expected to be open later this spring.
