Water exploration, improvement on tap at Ellis City Council meeting

ellis city logoELLIS — Water issues will be discussed at several points during tonight’s Ellis City Council meeting.

Brad Vincent, Groundwater Resources, will update the water exploration project, while Buck Driggs, Driggs Design Group, will update the water improvement project.

Council members will also consider implementing water restrictions at the Ellis Country Club and will revisit the city of Hays’ request for a letter of support in its R9 water development project. The vote was delayed until after the April 1 election for three council seats.

A fourth seat is vacant following the resignation of  John Leiker. Mayor Lyle Johnston will make an appointment to that position tonight.

The complete meeting agenda follows.
