BENNINGTON–A teenage driver and her father were killed in a Friday afternoon head on crash in Ottawa County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred just after 4 p.m. when a 2014 Chevy Silverado driven Jason Leroy Jeardoe, 35, Bennington, traveling westbound on K-18, 3.5 miles east of Bennington moved into the eastbound lanes to avoid a vehicle parked along the north edge of the highway.

The Silverado hit an eastbound1998 Plymouth Neon driven by Emma Jo Pisocki, 18, Topeka

Pisocki and her father Jason D. Pisocki, 41, Topeka were pronounced dead at the scene.

Jeardoe was transported to Salina Regional Medical Center.
The KHP reported all three were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
