WAKEENEY — Ryan Richard Schrant, age 20, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

He was born February 22, 1994, in Hays, Kansas, to Rick and Janene (Dreiling) Schrant.

He was a 2012 graduate of Trego Community High School and  earned an Associate Degree from North Central Kansas Technical College.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his tuck and spending time with his family, nephews and nieces.

Survivors include his parents, Rick and Janene Schrant, of the home, three sisters, Heather Fabrizius and husband, Lance, Independence, KS; Megan Schrant, WaKeeney, KS; Kelsey Schrant, Victoria, KS; three nephews, Bryant Schrant, Josiah Lopez, Knox Potter; three nieces, Bria Schrant, Addison Lopez, Braelyn Fabrizius; grandmother, Bernita (Rohr) Schrant, Victoria, KS; grandfather, Francis Dreiling, Victoria, KS; a number of uncles and aunts; and his beloved dogs, Sadie and Hutch.

He was preceded in death by his is grandfather, Norman Schrant; and his grandmother, Louise (Brown) Dreiling.

Services are 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas. Burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas.

A vigil service is at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, at Cline’s Mortuary, 412 Main Street, Victoria, Kansas 67671. Visitation is from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, and from 11:00 to 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, all at Cline’s Mortuary, Victoria, Kansas.
