The Hays City Commission will discuss an application for a tax license at its work session, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall.

According to a memo to commissioners from City Clerk Brenda Kitchen, Marlin Daubert and Skyler Yost have applied for a license under the name of Yadday Enterprises. The cab would operate as Convenience Cab, if approved.

The memo says the company has yet to purchase vehicles, as they are awaiting approval from the city. The plan is for at least two minivans, each with a six- to seven-passenger capacity.

The memo added the owners have successfully undergone the required background checks by the Hays Police Department. City staff is recommending the license be approved.
