DODGE CITY — The National Weather Service in Dodge City has not issued a severe thunderstorm warning in 2014.

On its Twitter account today, the agency proclaimed it a record for the time period 1994 to 2014.  The second longest into a year without a severe T-storm warning was April 13, 1996.

The long-range forecast does, however, suggest a chance of thunderstorms possible over the Easter weekend.
