WAKEENEY — Trego County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Taylor Michael-John Hastings, 23, Archie, Mo., early Wednesday morning on Interstate 70 near Ellis.

According to the sheriff’s office, police received reports at about 3:55 a.m. that Hastings’ vehicle had gone into the ditch, had come out and was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed in the westbound lanes of the interstate.

Hastings was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, no driver’s license, driving under the influence, reckless driving, obstruction of the legal process, transporting an open container, attempt to flee and elude law enforcement and driving the wrong way on the highway.
