(AP) – Kansas City police have fielded some 200 calls from people certain they’ve spotted the blond-haired baby with chubby cheeks who went missing three weeks ago.

So far, though, the search for Lisa Irwin has generated only false positives.

Officials say the problem is that at her age, countless babies match the same description. She was just 10 months old when she went missing. She has a distinguishing birth mark on her right thigh, but that would hardly be noticed from a distance.

Police say they continue to chase any leads, even as investigators step up their focus on her parents.

Investigators searched the family’s home after a cadaver dog reacted to the apparent scent of a dead person inside. The parents deny wrongdoing and suspect an intruder snatched their daughter.
