NW Kan. students fare well in Congressional Arts Competition

Screen Shot 2014-04-26 at 4.36.15 PMLINDSBORG —  This afternoon, Congressman Tim Huelskamp, R-Kan., issued awards for the 2014 Congressional Arts Competition hosted by Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery in Lindsborg. All high school students in the First Congressional District were encouraged to participate. The grand prize winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

“This is a great tribute to student artists and their dedicated teachers and supportive parents,” commented Congressman Huelskamp. “It is amazing to see just how many talented young Kansans participated this year and I look forward to seeing Olivia Wetter’s excellent artistry on display for visitors to enjoy in Washington.”
