Mild and windy Sunday

Winds will be in the forecast through Wednesday, with Today and Tuesday being the windiest. Wind will become Southwest at 25 to 35 mph this afternoon with gusts up to 50 mph. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 11am until 6pm. Temperatures today will reach the 70s with an overnight low around 45.

An upper level disturbance will be moving northeast through Kansas today, bringing a chance for rain to the area northeast of a line from Dighton to Pratt on Monday. There will be a chance for light rain Tuesday across all of the area. Furthermore, Wednesday night and Thursday night will be cool, with some patchy frost possible.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Very windy, with a south southeast wind 9 to 14 mph becoming southwest 26 to 36 mph. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. Windy, with a west northwest wind 22 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Windy, with a west northwest wind 23 to 29 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph.

Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Windy, with a west northwest wind 20 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph.

Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 55. Windy, with a north northwest wind 25 to 29 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph.
