Windy, cool and chance of rain

Screen Shot 2014-04-29 at 5.32.30 AMA deep low pressure system centered in Iowa will continue to produce strong north winds today. An upper level trough rotating around the deep upper level low will support scattered light showers this morning, but rainfall totals will be very light. Blowing dust adjacent to fields with limited ground cover will reduce visibilities. Highs will be in the 50s.

Today A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 51. Very windy, with a north northwest wind 28 to 34 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph.
Tonight Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Very windy, with a north northwest wind 27 to 32 mph decreasing to 17 to 22 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 48 mph.
Wednesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. Windy, with a north northwest wind 18 to 23 mph increasing to 24 to 29 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 44 mph.
Wednesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 18 to 23 mph decreasing to 11 to 16 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph.
Thursday Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 14 to 23 mph.
Thursday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 35.
Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 74.
