Kansas man injured during Wednesday police pursuit

chase policePERRY—A Kansas man was injured in a Wednesday morning accident during a high-speed chase in Jefferson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Chevy Tahoe driven by Michael D. Alexander, 20, Lawrence, was eastbound on K 237 two miles west of Perry being pursued by law enforcement.

Law enforcement used a vehicle intervention technique and the Tahoe came to rest in the southbound ditch on its side.

The Kansas Highway Patrol assisted in the pursuit.

Alexander was transported to Stormont Vail in Topeka.

The KHP reported he was properly restrained.
