HUTCHINSON — A Hutchinson man was killed in a one vehicle accident last night on the city’s north side.
Hutchinson Police reported William Rexroad, 81, died late last night at a Wichita hospital. Rexroad was going west on 43rd Avenue near Monroe, when his car left the road before striking a culvert and then a utility pole. Rexroad was airlifted to St. Francis Hospital. The accident also knocked out power to a large number of Westar customers.
Rexroad was a well-known author and speaker and was active in the Reno County jail study committee. He was also the former owner of Electrix Inc., which manufactures electrical components.
