
The TMP-Marian baseball team split their doubleheader with a two-loss Larned team Tuesday, winning the first game 2-0 then losing game two 5-3 at the TMP Field.
The Monarchs scored both of their runs in the first inning of game one. Kameron Schmidt took over from there, picking up the complete game victory, striking out eight.
The Monarchs commit five errors in the second contest, falling behind 5-0 before scoring three in the bottom of the seventh. Cameron Brin takes the loss, striking out seven over seven innings. Grant Romme drove in two as the Monarchs move to 12-4 on the year while Larned is 13-3.
TMP is off until Monday when they host Russell/Victoria in a makeup doubleheader.
