ABILENE — Fire crews from the city of Abilene and Grant Township responded to a Friday morning grass fire just west of the Russell Stover Outlet, Interstate 70 and exit 270 in Dickinson County.

According to the Abilene Fire Department this fire started as a controlled burn.

It got out of control and into some wheat stubble and was quickly extinguished.

There were no injuries.
