VICTORIA — St. Fidelis Catholic Church will be just one of many places within the area that will ring in the summer season over the weekend. The 16th annual Fidelisfest on Sunday is set to begin just after the weekly Sunday mass.

According to Becky Scheck, the chairwoman for event, festivities include a traditional German meal, children’s games, a silent auction and various raffles throughout the day. There will also be a beer garden and hamburger and brat stands. All events take place at St. Fidelis Catholic Church except for the silent auction, which will be at the grade school.

Tickets to attend are $10 apiece, and there are also family packs available at a discounted price.

Scheck said all of the proceeds from Fidelisfest are used to keep the church going throughout the year. Scheck said they raised approximately $40,000 for the church at last year’s event.
