SYRACUSE-  A Kansas man was injured in a motorcycle accident just before 9 p.m on Saturday night in Hamilton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Harley Davidson driven by Rene M. Guerra, 43, Leoti, was eastbound on U.S. 50 three miles west of Syracuse. The motorcycle struck a deer. The impact knocked the driver off of the motorcycle.

Guerra was transported to the hospital in Garden City.

The KHP reported he was not wearing a helmet.
