The National Weather Service is calling for a slight chance of thunderstorms Tuesday night in Ellis County and the surrounding areas.

As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, there was a 30 percent chance of storms in western Kansas, in addition to a wind advisory scheduled to last until 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Dodge City said hail up to half-dollar size could be possible in an area northwest of a line from Jetmore to La Crosse. The storms could produce wind gusts in excess of 60 mph, as well.

The chances of additional storms return Wednesday and continue into the weekend.
