BERN, Kan.-The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-3 tornado touched down in Nemaha County, Kansas Tuesday night, causing widespread damage.

At least five homes were destroyed . There have been no reports of injuries.

Another twister, rated at EF-1, caused damage in Brown County, knocking down dozens of power poles and blowing over a coal train.
