RUSSELL — City crews continue repairs this afternoon on damaged power poles in Russell.

Thursday’s early morning storm brought welcome rain but caused damage to some power poles in the south part of Russell and knocked down power lines near Lincoln Park, officials noted on the city’s Facebook page.

Power has been restored after several outages were reported in the southern and central areas of town.

Several street signs were knocked down and numerous trees damaged.

Some minor damage to buildings also occurred.
