SALINA — After a lengthy investigation, the I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force arrested a 35-year-old Salina man on suspicion of methamphetamine distribution.
John S. Windell was arrested Monday in the 400 block of North Ohio, according to a news release from Task Force Commander Capt. Jim Norton.
The Task Force had been investigating Windell for distributing methamphetamine for the last several months.
In May, the Task Force reported making several controlled methamphetamine buys. During the investigation and with the use of a confidential informant, the Task Force allegedly purchased more than 50 grams of methamphetamine from Windell.
A 1997 Chevrolet Silverado pickup belonging to Windell also was seized. Windell was booked into the Saline County jail on suspicion of three counts of distribution of methamphetamine. Federal prosecution will be requested.
No further arrests are expected as a result of the case, the release said.
