HAYS- Two women were injured in an Ellis County accident just before 9:30 on Wednesday evening.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Ford Taurus driven by Odilla M. Schmeidler, 89, Hays, was northbound on Kansas 255, just south of Interstate 70 turning left. The vehicle turned in front of a south bound 2003 Infiniti driven by Claudia Rothe, 55, Great Bend.

Schmeidler and Rothe were transported to Hays Medical Center.
The KHP reported both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
