According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City, severe thunderstorms could sweep into the area Saturday night.
Storms are expected to develop along in northeast Colorado and southern Nebraska, then move east-southeast into the region.
The NWS said the storms will have the possibility of producing golf ball-size hail or larger, as well as winds of 60 to 70 mph.
“The tornado potential with this system is low, however cannot be ruled out,” the NWS reported.
The storms are expected to leave the region between 3 and 4 a.m. Sunday.
