Kansas man hospitalized after car hits a deer

Screen Shot 2014-05-20 at 9.53.00 AMKINSLEY- A Kansas man was injured in an accident just after 10 p.m. on Thursday in Edwards County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Dodge Charger driven by Terry L. Stanton, 59, Larned, was westbound on U.S. 56 three miles east of Kinsley when a deer entered the roadway.

The vehicle struck the deer, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and it went into the south ditch, struck a culvert and rolled to its top.

Stanton was transported to Edwards County Hospital
The KHP reported Stanton was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
