WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wichita police say a 41-year-old man is being held in the shooting deaths of his girlfriend, her adult daughter and her son-in-law at the family’s home.

Police on Tuesday identified the victims as 45-year-old Tuyet T. Huynh, her 20-year-old daughter, Trinh Pham, and Pham’s husband, 21-year-old Sean Pham. Police say the Phams’ 5-month-old child was in the basement where Trinh Pham was killed, but the baby was unharmed.

The three victims were found shot to death early Tuesday after police received an emergency call from one of the victims. Another child who lives at the home was out of town at the time.

Police say there hadn’t been any previous domestic violence cases at the residence.

The suspect is being held on capital murder charges, but hasn’t been identified.

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wichita police are investigating after three people were found shot to death at a home on the city’s southeast side.

Police say two females and one male were found shot to death at the house around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Police Lt. Dan East says a 41-year-old man who was taken into custody for questioning is related to the victims, who were not identified.

East says the shootings appear to be the result of domestic violence, but he says the investigation is continuing and no formal charges have been filed in the case.

Police planned an update later Tuesday morning.
