JUNCTION CITY — Authorities continue to investigate a fatal Monday afternoon accident in Geary County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Chevy passenger car driven by Terry L. Schwab, 69, Abilene, was westbound on Interstate 70 five miles west of Junction City.

The vehicle crossed the median and entered eastbound traffic. A 2010 Toyota passenger vehicle driven by Rebecca Ann Scott, 39, McPherson, T-boned the Chevy.

Schwab was pronounced dead at the scene. She was transported to Frontier Forensics.

Scott was transported to Geary Community Hospital.

The KHP reported both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
