KINSLEY- Three people were injured in an accident just after 9 a.m. on Wednesday in Edwards County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Dodge Truck driven by Jay L. Schaller, 75, Kinsley was westbound on U.S. 50 approximately two miles west of Kinsley.

The truck turned left in front of a 2005 Jeep driven by Marvetta l. Rickman, 54, Dodge City. The vehicles collided in the intersection.

Schaller was transported to Hays Medical Center. Rickman and a passenger in the Jeep Hillary Lynn Ryan, 25, Del Valle, TX., were transported to the hospital in Kinsley.

The KHP reported another passenger in the Jeep J.D. Baker, 26, Wichita, was disabled but not if he was treated for injuries.

The KHP reported Schaller was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
