Contractors got an opportunity to tour the Ellis County Law Enforcement Center, Courthouse and Jail in a pre-bid meeting Thursday afternoon.
Approximately 10 contractors took in the tour and Architect Andrew Pitts from Treanor Architects of Kansas City, Missouri led them through the bid process and answered questions along the tour.
County Administrator Greg Sund said they anticipate the bid opening on August 12th and Pitts estimated the county commission would award the bid around the first of September.
Earlier this week the commission voted to enter into an agreement with the Hadley Center to lease temporary office space for law enforcement and courthouse staff while construction is underway.
