SALINA — A 71-year-old Salina woman was treated at Salina Regional Health Center for a wound to her upper right arm after being shot with a pellet or BB gun Saturday afternoon.
Police Capt. Mike Sweeney said the woman was outside working in her yard in the 100 block of East Wilson about 1:30 p.m. when she heard a couple of shots and felt pain in her arm.
The woman told police she noticed a white minivan driving away. She then called police to report she had been shot. When officers arrived they found a blood-soaked towel around the woman’s arm. She was taken by EMS to the hospital for treatment.
Then just a short time later, another woman who lives in the 900 block of South Fifth reported a BB gun was used to damage the siding in her home.
