RANDOLPH, Kan- A Kansas man died in a head on collision on Monday afternoon in Riley County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 Pontiac Firebird driven by Steven E. Farnsworth, 32, Riley, was south-bound on U.S. 77 two miles north of Randolph.

The vehicle went completely left of center into the northbound lane and struck a 2003 Dodge pickup head on.

Farnsworth was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Pfeifley Funeral Home.

The pickup driver Megan S. Ewell, 19, Randolph, was transported to KU Medical Center.

The KHP reported Farnsworth was not wearing a seat belt.
