WAKEENEY–A community blood drive will be held in WaKeeney Tuesday, August 12, from noon to 6 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, 500 Summit Ave.

Nationally, there have been 80,000 fewer blood donations than expected since May, according to the American Red Cross.

Donors may call 1-800-RED CROSS or go online at www.redcrossblood.org to make an appointment.

Walk-ins are also welcome.
