Motorcycle rider hospitalized after hitting a deer

Motorcycle accidentDECATUR COUNTY- A man from Oklahoma was injured in a motorcycle accident just after 9 p.m. on Friday in Decatur County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Harley Davidson driven by David W. Wright, 60. McAlester, OK., was eastbound on Kansas 9 eight miles east of the Kansas 123 Junction.

A deer entered the roadway from the south. The motorcycle struck the deer and overturned.

Wright was transported to Norton County Hospital.
