PHILLIPSBURG — A benefit run/walk set for next month will help raise money for research of a rare disease.
Karma Steelsmith said proceeds from the 5K run/walk and half-mile kids run will go to the Kawasaki Disease Foundation.
Steelsmith’s son, Kymber, was diagnosed with the disease in January.
The event is scheduled for Sept. 20, with registration beginning at 7 a.m. and the race starting at 8 a.m.
Participants will receive a free T-shirt if they register by Sept. 9.
Entry fee is $14 for adults and $7 for children age 4 to 10. Additional T-shirts also can be purchase for $15.
