CHEYENNE COUNTY — Three teens were injured in an accident just after 2 p.m. on Saturday in Cheyenne County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford F 150 driven by Dallas M. Reed, 17, St. Francis was northbound on Kansas 161 just south of county road EE and the Nebraska state line.
The driver was distracted while driving and went off the roadway and overcorrected.
The vehicle slid sideways and the driver overcorrected again entering the east ditch and into a field where the vehicle started to roll and hit a farm sprinkler.
Reed and passengers Keann S. Jacobs, 16, Dresden, and Mishaela D. Ford, 16, St. Francis, were transported to Dundy County Hospital in Benkleman, Nebraska.
The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
