NW Kan. woman hospitalized after two-vehicle accident

Screen Shot 2014-07-03 at 5.13.15 AMCOLBY – A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just after 2 p.m. on Sunday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Ford Taurus driven by Ronald D. Owings, 65, Studley, was eastbound on U.S. 24 nine miles east of Colby and struck the drivers side passenger door of a 2011 Ford pickup driven by Billie G. Marcellus, 81, Sterling City, TX., that was northbound on U.S. 83 and had pulled out in front of the Taurus.

A passenger in the Taurus Barbara L. Owings, 65, Studley, was transported to Citizens Medical Center. No other injuries were reported.

The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
