The Hays Police Department is investigating a string of criminal damage to property reports after six homeowners awoke Sunday morning to damaged mailboxes.
All six damaged mailboxes occurred on a row of houses on the 1700 block of Henry Street.
According to Lt. Brandon Wright, police responded to a report of damaged mailboxes shortly after 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
Wright said one of the residents reported hearing “loud noises” at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Wright said police have no suspects or witnesses at this time.
The total loss is estimated at less than $1,000.
