For the second straight year, downtown Hays will play host to hundreds of FHSU and Hays Academy of Hair Design students, faculty and staff. Thursday’s Core2Campus event will introduce students to the array of unique shopping, dining, art and entertainment downtown Hays has to offer.

The Downtown Hays Development Corp., Hays Convention and Visitors Bureau, TGOF committee and Eagle Communications have joined forces to host the event.

Due to the nature of the event, several downtown Hays streets will close for public safety from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The streets that will be closed to traffic include:

• Main from Eighth to 12th
• 10th from Fort to Oak
• 11th from Fort to Oak
• 10th Street parking lot
