Ronald McDonald House Charities awards grants to nonprofits

Ronald McDonald House Charities Wichita today awarded grants totaling $64,000 to 18 organizations throughout Kansas for the 2014 grant cycle.

The ceremony was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Wichita.

The following grants were scheduled to be awarded:

Dodge City – Ford County: Arrowhead West, Inc.

El Dorado – Butler County: Susan B Allen Memorial Hospital Foundation

Newton – Harvey County: CASA: A Voice for Children

Wichita – Sedgwick County: Flint Hills Therapeutic Riding Center

Assistance League of Wichita
GraceMed Health Clinic, Inc.
Heartspring, Inc.
The KIDS Network, Inc.
Catholic Charities, Inc.
Roots and Wings, Inc. dba Casa of Sedgwick County

Inter-Faith Ministries
The Arts Council
Communities in Schools of Wichita/Sedgwick County Inc.

RMHC Wichita not only provides and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children through the two core programs: Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room but also extends grants to nonprofit organizations in Kansas that are making an immediate, positive impact on children who need it most in the areas of education and the arts, civic and social services, and health care and medical research. Grants to these organizations extend the reach and impact of Ronald McDonald House Charities Wichita.

Last year, RMHC Wichita supported more than 1,900 families.
